For those of you that read this, you know we are leading the way to raise $100,000 to build an orphanage in Swaziland Africa. After visiting this country in July we knew we had to do something!! And God told us to raise $100,000 to build this home to save His children.<br /><br />We have a great team built and have an awesome fundraiser planned called Celebrate HOPE on Feb 27th check out the website: <a href="http://www.celebratehopecape.com/">http://www.celebratehopecape.com</a> <br /><br />We have raised about $35,000 in about 3-4 months!! Amzazing!! So many generous individuals and businesses in our area have stepped up to sponsor this event.<br /><br />But on Sunday I got a phone call from Teresa (my friend who is helping to lead this effort). This guy in California, named Wolfgang just ran the Carlsbad Marathon in Southern California and he had raised $28,000 for Heart for Africa... how cool!! But the cool thing is that a few weeks ago Janine emailed out the tv interview that Teresa and I did with the local station here. Wolfgang saw that interview and ordered a few calendars we are selling as a fundraiser. Apparently Wolfgang was touched by our story and especially Teresa's story of losing her son Jared just weeks after we returned from Africa.<br /><br />Wolfgang designated that $25,000 of his race sponsorship is to go to our home!! The home we are raising money for!! How amazing.. A total stranger, one email, one interview, $25,000!! only God can do this!!<br /><br />So we are officially at $60,000 of the $100,000 needed raised!! If we keep going at this rate the home may be up and running with kiddo's living in it this fall !!!! That just blows my mind, 3 months ago we had nothing and now we have $60,000!!!<br /><br />I am so proud of this small community, and how cool to say that the people of Cape Girardeau helped save the lives of orphaned children 10,000 miles away!!!Jeremy and Raelenna Fergusonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08960998552234280733noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1596604910858886060.post-87555550125445015752010-01-23T05:59:00.003-06:002010-01-23T06:26:52.364-06:00Just some things..<div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgergfZzfNobU62nkiurQ4xtjW1U0nlvsMiF3miDoNaPwmpMULIDXMymBa0eC0MI0B7MuoXZ3LH-VCX1QDSXEEyJpfX2AfF5JNGevcN_O14JDY7n_NzsKW5QTQ8Oqg6MiPRf6JiYAJbCIQ/s1600-h/DSCN0987.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5429909579125342002" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgergfZzfNobU62nkiurQ4xtjW1U0nlvsMiF3miDoNaPwmpMULIDXMymBa0eC0MI0B7MuoXZ3LH-VCX1QDSXEEyJpfX2AfF5JNGevcN_O14JDY7n_NzsKW5QTQ8Oqg6MiPRf6JiYAJbCIQ/s320/DSCN0987.JPG" border="0" /></a> <strong>This is Ella at about a week or two old..This was her first day at church.</strong><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEHxwfS73Ll92NiVVwpbgA0UcbSMLCtGOPMawNmCDycvtGwFyI2YxZm-BvlsaYvb4Wrdo0GvHC09K_YmQPGQJK59ZwLCEi0gbcmX7ElGqGuUnILb6xOqXsfnoZOzSV3vj-62xqi94Itlc/s1600-h/DSCN0955.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5429909576124633938" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEHxwfS73Ll92NiVVwpbgA0UcbSMLCtGOPMawNmCDycvtGwFyI2YxZm-BvlsaYvb4Wrdo0GvHC09K_YmQPGQJK59ZwLCEi0gbcmX7ElGqGuUnILb6xOqXsfnoZOzSV3vj-62xqi94Itlc/s320/DSCN0955.JPG" border="0" /></a><strong>Ella's first night in the world she snuggled with daddy, she is still a daddy's girl..I still can't believe she had all that dark hair.</strong><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8vCzUSqPecSrYorNp7jB5KhSc0YLjTGxDo8QmC1MBMgf_NtIBlbQKulmwjw16AvoWQTkrmOKXvfTsoXTtIJZNXx58ZMw7hqlQGq9zofeet0c6nOCR-PioaPNxHKHDIjGlX-Spx4mQjQk/s1600-h/DSCN0143.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5429909570866800194" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8vCzUSqPecSrYorNp7jB5KhSc0YLjTGxDo8QmC1MBMgf_NtIBlbQKulmwjw16AvoWQTkrmOKXvfTsoXTtIJZNXx58ZMw7hqlQGq9zofeet0c6nOCR-PioaPNxHKHDIjGlX-Spx4mQjQk/s320/DSCN0143.JPG" border="0" /></a> <strong>I think this one looks a lot like Seth. I posted these pictures of Ella because we thought we had lost all of her baby picutures. They were no longer on our computer. But thankfully about a year ago Jeremy backed up all of our photos onto a disc so we would have hard copies. Then we lost the disc! But he found it last week and now we have all our little sweet pics of Ella back!!</strong><br /><br /><br /><div>We still have no word on our little sponsored girl Roody. I did get an email from Compassion International saying they are still working hard to locate all the Compassion children. It also said that they have confirmed that some Compassion children have died as a result of the earthquake. So we just wait and pray. Ella told me last night as we watched Hope for Haiti on tv, "I just want Haiti to get better". She is just so cool! and totally understands.. Jeremy I know that little girl is going to grown up and light the world on fire for Jesus! She has his great personality with people and can be so caring and she has my fire and attitude to get things done.<br /></div><div>On another note I am considering running a 1/2 marathon in April. The Nashville Country Music Marathon. I can easily run a 5k. But not so sure I want to tackle 13 miles. My great friends Chantelle and Shari are getting a team to run for their non-for profit Room for One More <a href="http://www.roomforonemorechild.org/">http://www.roomforonemorechild.org/</a>. I am trying to talk Jeremy into running it with me, but he has no time to train for it. It would be awesome and fun and a great way to create awareness, I'm just not sure yet!!</div><div> </div><div>Celebrate HOPE is officially 4 weeks away. Saturday Feb 27th 6:30 at The Venue.. It is going to be an awesome an fun night of Celebration, Awareness, and Fundraising!!! We are trying to raise $100,000 to build an orphanage in Swaziland Africa. It has been so truly amaizng to see how God has ordained this event...people are stepping up and getting involved, it really is mind blowing. We have awesome silent auciton items like 2 tickets to the US Open Golf tourney, 100,000 airline miles, week stay at a Florida Beach Condo, Cardinal autographed stuff, just tons of stuff.. oh yeah and a local jewler donated a diamond worth $7000 to be given at our champagne toast!! Yikes!!! </div><div></div><br /><div>In the beginning of Celebrate HOPE we were so scared we wouldn't even have enough money to put the event on. We started trying to get sponsors and now to our AMAZING surprise we have over $25,000 just in sponsorships!!! It just rocks!! Can you tell I get excited when I talk about it?? The amazing thing is when we started working with Heart for Africa a little over a year ago.. now it is everywhere in Cape Girardeau, you hear it on the radio, we did an interview on tv, in the papers, in the gas stations.. it is just so cool! God is really using our team to spread the word!</div><div>go to <a href="http://www.celebratehopecape.com/">http://www.celebratehopecape.com/</a> for more info, to buy tickets or to donate to the home!<br /></div><div>Changing the subject again... Riley only has a few games to cheer at this year, she is getting ready to turn her registration in for her youth group mission trip to DC in June, then she will go with us to Africa in July (we have 45 peeps from Cape going so far). Drew and Seth are awesome boys. Drew is obsessed with puzzles right now, he just does them over and over. He is going to be an engineer, we are sure of it. He has the concentration of a maniac. Seth has gotten much better with his little attitude he had for a while. He is really turning into a sweetie wanting hugs and kisses, he is still the ruff and tuff one but he can still give out some luvin..</div></div><div> </div><div>Raising Humanity! Raising Hope!<br /><br /><br /><div></div></div><br /></div>Jeremy and Raelenna Fergusonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08960998552234280733noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1596604910858886060.post-16511113015332057382010-01-14T19:21:00.003-06:002010-01-14T19:29:44.408-06:00Hait EarthquakeWe as a family have sponsored a little 5 year old girl named Roody Carmelle Joseph, she lives in a village outside Port au Prince Haiti. We chose her because we thought she reminded us of Ella. We have been sponsoring her for over a year now through Compassion International, we send her cards and pictures and she will write us letters and draw pictures for us. We are very worried about her, her family and the people in Haiti. From all the news reports and other blog's I read, it is complete devasation there.<br /><br />We got an email from Compassion saying they would let us know as soon as they have any news, but I expect it could be weeks or months before we will hear if Roody and her family are ok. We prayed tonight as a family that she is safe and well and that her family is safe and well. She has several siblings and is being raised by her father.<br /><br />I also follow a blog of a US missionary family living in Port au Prince, <a href="http://www.livesayhaiti.blogspot.com/">www.livesayhaiti.blogspot.com</a> They seem to be holding strong but are completley overwhelmed. Everything they have worked so hard to build and the relationships they've built. It all seems gone at the moment, just trying to survive is the most important thing.<br /><br />Please pray for the Livesay family in Haiti, our little Roody and the people of Haiti. Send relief money, they are the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, and now it is completely at loss. They are in the hands of those that will help and will send help.<br /><br />Haiti has been close to my heart for a few years now, I have always wanted to travel there and work in an orphanage. I pray that someday we will, but for now we pray for the people.<br /><br />2 Samuel 22:33Jeremy and Raelenna Fergusonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08960998552234280733noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1596604910858886060.post-63329239917118394172009-12-25T19:52:00.003-06:002009-12-25T20:12:32.559-06:00Merry Christmas<div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSiR-0P7FE-fANp_4qIVFTl-CBFyA1xjWVk0SH0c1j_NmaR49G1cSiIvFYukeqq53LxFVMFc7sHldt03NAkonAe1SK6TUrk5mijkxo82RHwy4zjc8W4s-Q3F6oN0EgX2SteVnw0tAdQ8A/s1600-h/IMG_0448.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5419360492084694802" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSiR-0P7FE-fANp_4qIVFTl-CBFyA1xjWVk0SH0c1j_NmaR49G1cSiIvFYukeqq53LxFVMFc7sHldt03NAkonAe1SK6TUrk5mijkxo82RHwy4zjc8W4s-Q3F6oN0EgX2SteVnw0tAdQ8A/s320/IMG_0448.JPG" border="0" /></a><strong> Riley and Nick, what a great couple!<br /></strong><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuw-MxRQu2HUM-aggMwgWwSVrs-kcicNKrabWydL6cODHbilAbUeJ6NbRdwW3KCjWtVBhyphenhyphenxACiBaMvO7mHPJlYgZ_63Hs9UMopR4byQtj7mjyn98rafs3F-TIsUeRmglsrOVzZMdC_S_c/s1600-h/IMG_0456.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5419360483317847314" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuw-MxRQu2HUM-aggMwgWwSVrs-kcicNKrabWydL6cODHbilAbUeJ6NbRdwW3KCjWtVBhyphenhyphenxACiBaMvO7mHPJlYgZ_63Hs9UMopR4byQtj7mjyn98rafs3F-TIsUeRmglsrOVzZMdC_S_c/s320/IMG_0456.JPG" border="0" /></a><strong> Ella-the Rock Star..loved her guitar.</strong><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7wdtvzY9t4D00PPrZegM00A1WOs0NETa5YvMcgztqsTCOhInOMoeE9CFodu0dxwxmwHXdMNws56Eho5ukuf-C5AABZ-q_6vcTiNwjYFk_YvylWko9LAH_Xi10M7joS798Mza-pXpSxtQ/s1600-h/IMG_0432.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5419360480821479794" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7wdtvzY9t4D00PPrZegM00A1WOs0NETa5YvMcgztqsTCOhInOMoeE9CFodu0dxwxmwHXdMNws56Eho5ukuf-C5AABZ-q_6vcTiNwjYFk_YvylWko9LAH_Xi10M7joS798Mza-pXpSxtQ/s320/IMG_0432.JPG" border="0" /></a><strong> The boys and their matching robes! We have already enjoyed 2 great Christmas gathering and have one more to go. This year we really cut back on buying. buying and buying. Not just because of the money issue but because of the 'reason for the season'. We are trying to teach our children the real reason we celebrate Christmas and what it means for our lives. Drew kept saying "Jesus Birthday, Jesus Birthday" We have little toy Nativity set that we go throught the Christmas Story with them..<br /></div><div>We spent Christmas eve at my aunt Shirley's.. It was great seeing a lot of my extended family and my new baby cousing, Dane. Ella sang in the children's choir at the Christmas Eve service..she did great and is a natural performer. Today (Christmas Day) we had a great morning with the kids celebrating and exchanging gifts. I got a snuggie (which I'm wearing now)..then we had dinner at our house. We have been blessed to have a big enough home to hold our family and we get to host family events now. I love it--and I always get to make the turkey ... We leave tomorrow for Grandpa Charlie and Grandma Missy's house.. the kids are totally pumped to see everyone. And Jeremy and I are going to have a little mini vacation in Chicago for a couple days.. Grandma and Grandpa agreed to keep the kiddo's so we can have a much needed get away. So excited-even though it is going to be like 10 degrees, it is going to be nice to go ice skating at Millenium Park!<br /></div><div>Emmanuel "God with us"..</div><div>Merry Christmas to you all!</div></div></div></div><br /></div>Jeremy and Raelenna Fergusonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08960998552234280733noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1596604910858886060.post-67148621234472754772009-12-18T10:18:00.003-06:002009-12-18T10:41:38.176-06:00Some fun pics<div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIlx5tIQscvebWvsuWfaRrnZCmx-XXcCm0mKH1Yj6_g8YL2Uryre5ZXF8f78_WYNam7nn2kjDdZ1Ru0G1gVrAT3y7HZ8k760xK974lx_q8_OgJo06E3E0xAX0s7raaimpTewnScUjr7_c/s1600-h/rileys+pics+115.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5416616045292729186" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIlx5tIQscvebWvsuWfaRrnZCmx-XXcCm0mKH1Yj6_g8YL2Uryre5ZXF8f78_WYNam7nn2kjDdZ1Ru0G1gVrAT3y7HZ8k760xK974lx_q8_OgJo06E3E0xAX0s7raaimpTewnScUjr7_c/s320/rileys+pics+115.jpg" /></a> <strong>Ella and Carder at Grandma and Grandpa's.. they collected crickets in the jar. </strong><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyf1e4v9ABejCVyiClq-q72Tw711AEjD-pWvEaD4AvVwuxH1crEsZtmpbkHes7sJVn1EJipjCzNs0rCht3xQrvwGif2fNGo6rhNmU9pg_5-J13bzP2OqlpZqOnOG1Dml95ROq3GaHc1Rw/s1600-h/rileys+pics+137.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5416616037695405778" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyf1e4v9ABejCVyiClq-q72Tw711AEjD-pWvEaD4AvVwuxH1crEsZtmpbkHes7sJVn1EJipjCzNs0rCht3xQrvwGif2fNGo6rhNmU9pg_5-J13bzP2OqlpZqOnOG1Dml95ROq3GaHc1Rw/s320/rileys+pics+137.jpg" /></a> <strong>Jeremy hate this picture, the outfit and the hat. I cannot believe it was already a year ago that I was huge and miserable and grouchy and sooo ready to find out what child #4 was going to be!! Seth was our surprise baby from the beginning. Drew was only 5 months old when I got pregnant with Seth! Surprise! We decided not to find out what we were having..on May 16th 2008 we got to say "it's a boy"! Surprise! And then the doctor said "he is a pretty good size baby", I thought he would be about 8 pounds (since the other were all in the upper 7 pounds).. nope he was 9 pounds 8 ounces!! Surprise!! Big Surprise!! But it did give a good perspectives as to why my back hurt, my hips hurt, I could hardly walk and I thought I was having some sort of breathing problem...</div><div></div><br /><div>Our little Surprise! celebrated his first birthday yesterday. Life has been in full throttle lately. So what has been happening with us?<br /><br /></div><div align="left"><div><div>Real estate is great right now! But of course in sales it seem to always be feast and famine, after 5 years of it you would think it would get easier when it's the famine part. Ella got to spend the week with her grandparents in Illinois and had a blast. She got to go to an antique mall, bible study, have a tea party and she and grandma made a jacket for her! We picked her up and spent Easter weekend there. </div><div> </div><div align="left">Here's a good one- Easter evening Jeremy and I went to get gas, he reached into the van to pop the gas tank and the wind blew the door shut on his head and busted is eye open. Couple hours later after the massive bleeding stopped we left the ER with 9 stiches! A week later I got to play nurse and take out the stitches. I must say he held up better than I thought he was, he didn't wine at all.<br /></div><div>Here's another good one-This week we were in the garage getting ready for our huge yard sale this next weekend. I just stepped inside to wash my hands and Jermey was sweeping the garage when I heard Seth screaming. I opened the door there was blood everywhere and poor little Seth was screaming like I've never heard him before. Drew had gotten a pair of utility scissors off the dryer and tried to cut Seth's big toe off. He actually cut a giant chunk out of the padding of his big toe. It was gushing blood and I had to calll the doctor and ER. They said if it didn't stop bleeding to bring him in and they would stitch it up. I had to explain there was nothing to stitch up!! He had cut a chunk out and it was gone. It was bad, we finally got ourselves pulled together enough to compress it long enough that bleeding came to a minimum then get it gauzed up and taped up. 3 days later it is just healing up great, no big deal at all. Isn't great out God made kids heal so fast!! He knew they would have a big brother like Drew that liked to cut things. And little Drew he had no idea what was going on, he was just standing there looking around like, ''what's the big deal?"</div><br /><div></div><div></div><div>I guess that is a good note to end on. I'll try to post more often!! </div><div> </div><div>Oh, I just forgot really cool news, our good friends Chantelle and Eric are going to get their baby girl from Ethiopia next Saturday!! I just can't wait to meet her, please pray for safe travel and a good bonding experience with her when they get to the orphanage..Welcome home Solie!</div></div></div></div><br /></div>Jeremy and Raelenna Fergusonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08960998552234280733noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1596604910858886060.post-45238917680458368842009-04-08T09:58:00.002-05:002009-04-08T10:04:12.699-05:0026 months and they are off!!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEix4N89hUZrUYaO2HkET_LBSCjpsn0T_206fCa_Uopru-lupi8cHcnmSAlLOa7e87onHR45ss_0bMmxbZeXnwzS9SwH5TdzMpSLUHMcuFahkUtUZyy-6DUkf78OZ9V7vBX7bBz8Jj_qv0Y/s1600-h/x+mas+party+Riley+283.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5322335812709305826" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEix4N89hUZrUYaO2HkET_LBSCjpsn0T_206fCa_Uopru-lupi8cHcnmSAlLOa7e87onHR45ss_0bMmxbZeXnwzS9SwH5TdzMpSLUHMcuFahkUtUZyy-6DUkf78OZ9V7vBX7bBz8Jj_qv0Y/s320/x+mas+party+Riley+283.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfF3BirV758K79u0jB9vWvQZfcYhK8wguRRFT-V4PFSOc-ZqeDOq6dbks3NWw9b9sPPU2Zqtb1S_DAMPLSt5PpQV2KAbwQUPNZ1daGAH-Jt2nN8f_n0d0cgYUJs_IRrhDDZGJAfu08jxs/s1600-h/x+mas+party+Riley+304.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5322335804830593282" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfF3BirV758K79u0jB9vWvQZfcYhK8wguRRFT-V4PFSOc-ZqeDOq6dbks3NWw9b9sPPU2Zqtb1S_DAMPLSt5PpQV2KAbwQUPNZ1daGAH-Jt2nN8f_n0d0cgYUJs_IRrhDDZGJAfu08jxs/s320/x+mas+party+Riley+304.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div> <div align="center"><strong>Riley had a big day yesterday! Real estate has picked up for me, which is WONDERFUL!! Jermey has also been very busy, but is the best at helping me around the house and freeing me up for my crazy work schedule. <br />It feels like we just got done with cheerleading and now here we go again....Riley is trying out for high school cheerleading this week. Although it is very time consuming and stressful on our family she is wonderful at it and absolutely loves it. So we put on our happy faces and just grin and bear it! <br />Ella is going to stay with Grandma Missy and Papa Charlie next week, and she is very excited to sing and cook and beat grandpa at UNO.. She told me "I am going to meet some new kids in the neighborhood and make friends". Our little social butterfly.. Drew is great, just being Drew..he is a mini Jermey. Just goes with the flow, laid back. <br />Seth is currently cutting 4 top teeth at the same time and trying to walk. He is now 10 months old and is getting really brave and taking steps on his own. <br /><br />The other big news is we are going to Africa in July!!! We have been thinking and praying about if for several months and we finally took the leap and booked the trip. We will be going to Swaziland Africa and working at an orphange for 11 days. I will post more on this soon!!Jeremy and Raelenna Fergusonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08960998552234280733noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1596604910858886060.post-59199427715704241342009-03-20T12:47:00.003-05:002009-03-20T12:55:39.135-05:00Waiting for Grandma<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8Ehh-XEcOkMjA2pXi0nTX61H1MGPJzchhTkzcz8uYbcfrSKqJ0cvDeYd0DP_VO7YYbBsfmYMhHu2yIb_xP1l1RWvsOGxG9QK8sTWrnHtNBlas081CPDtNfoJnQE_PIiRcAc-UBzBUTJc/s1600-h/x+mas+party+Riley+282.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5315328997115170658" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8Ehh-XEcOkMjA2pXi0nTX61H1MGPJzchhTkzcz8uYbcfrSKqJ0cvDeYd0DP_VO7YYbBsfmYMhHu2yIb_xP1l1RWvsOGxG9QK8sTWrnHtNBlas081CPDtNfoJnQE_PIiRcAc-UBzBUTJc/s320/x+mas+party+Riley+282.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div>Two days a week my mom comes to babysit the kids. As you can tell the blogging is getting slimmed down. I haven't had as much time lately to play around on the computer and blog. <br /><br />Our family is a outside family. We have the best neighborhood in the world. Lot's of kids and our great friends, so we don't see the indoors other to use the bathroom, shower and sleep!! <br /><br />I will be posting soon with lots of pictures and new's about our upcoming summer trip!!!Jeremy and Raelenna Fergusonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08960998552234280733noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1596604910858886060.post-6633393141235624682009-03-09T15:26:00.004-05:002009-03-09T15:37:47.006-05:00Big Weekend<div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeC3ZbszrC-qa0UYf6InaE-_JZgTID8TLS5tGO7YsuxRzgeIBhZkIkjeSM86kzqQSRkKPSDZa6iO7pOhU_BrpDavWnnN22yO2PLjAbR3FD8tU5LsoQktUCJ2sX7CeznXFnWrMM4jxhv5w/s1600-h/x+mas+party+Riley+269.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5311289339241820914" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeC3ZbszrC-qa0UYf6InaE-_JZgTID8TLS5tGO7YsuxRzgeIBhZkIkjeSM86kzqQSRkKPSDZa6iO7pOhU_BrpDavWnnN22yO2PLjAbR3FD8tU5LsoQktUCJ2sX7CeznXFnWrMM4jxhv5w/s320/x+mas+party+Riley+269.jpg" border="0" /></a> <strong>We celebrated Drew's 2nd birthday with a 'Cars' themed birthday. It was a tough one, it took me several weeks to get through it. I had to stop for a while then I picked it back up and finished it. Our church just started a series based off the book so I knew I needed to finish it. I have to keep reminding myself that it is a novel, but so much of it seems so true. <br />One paragraph toward the end of the book really stuck out to me and I've read it over and over.<br /><br /><em>If anything matters then everything matters. Because you are important, everything you do is important. Every time you forgive, the universe changes; every time you reach out and touch a heart or a life, the world changes; with every kindness and service, seen or unseen, my purposes are accomplished and nothing will ever be the same again.</em><br /><em></em><br />LOVE IT!!Jeremy and Raelenna Fergusonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08960998552234280733noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1596604910858886060.post-82074869980365012712009-02-17T19:13:00.004-06:002009-02-17T19:58:57.499-06:00It's Kinda Crazy Around Here!<div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJFkOjXb3UHzb7LzPo3m615AlmYuZIchgGLnTLk2hZ24FKeps9v1K5xEIFU6fcymLV9HyWAL7ddOBXT8AP0FWBIkc0SmLI7DzDk0ypLEsE66TBhzfyhdsRpI8RErTevgYYCP2VST9xWjY/s1600-h/x+mas+party+Riley+261.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5303949004426931378" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJFkOjXb3UHzb7LzPo3m615AlmYuZIchgGLnTLk2hZ24FKeps9v1K5xEIFU6fcymLV9HyWAL7ddOBXT8AP0FWBIkc0SmLI7DzDk0ypLEsE66TBhzfyhdsRpI8RErTevgYYCP2VST9xWjY/s320/x+mas+party+Riley+261.jpg" border="0" /></a> It's like Jon and Kate plus Eight trying to get all the kids to look and smile at the same time. He wanted to play too.<br /><br /><div>It's been one of those weeks aroung the Ferguson house. When we got back from Atlanta it seemed like life started spinning around us. I could hardly keep my head up to breath.<br /><br />We visted Jeremy's grandparents yesterday. They are really neat people. They are like 90 something years old and still living on the farm on their own. It's actually pretty amazing they have been married 70 years, how crazy is that? They have a real simple lifestyle. When we left there I told Jeremy that I think I would like to live on a farm in the middle of Illinois with no cable TV or air conditioning. He didn't even respond to me (shocker). Then I realized I was having a temporary moment of insanity, because I like having neighbors and cable and especially air conditioning. I think more I was just longing for the 'simple' part of their lifestyle. How do I get that? Is it possible with 4 kids and a job and school and commitment after commitment to have a 'simple' lifestyle?<br /><br />On another note, Drew is going through a major bad phase of screaming, hitting, biting, scratching, you name it he's doing it. I've had so many different opinions on how to handle it I don't know what to do. Most of the time I'm so exhausted from dealing with everything else going on I just ignore it (which I know is not the right thing to do). Any suggestions out there?<br /><br />Some good news, last week my good friend <a href="http://adventuresinbianca.blogspot.com/"><span style="color:#666666;">Chantelle</span></a> found out they have a baby girl waiting for them in Ethiopia. They got their referral last Thursday and I am sooo happy for them. She is about a month or two old and just perfect. Please be praying for her safety and health. She has already had a rough start to her little life but we know she is a lucky lucky little girl and will be home soon!!</div><br /></div>Jeremy and Raelenna Fergusonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08960998552234280733noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1596604910858886060.post-27344209587386293622009-02-11T16:37:00.004-06:002009-02-11T16:55:09.442-06:00Heart for Africa!!<div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiR_V_DTS4BLod-LPCb6DTv2Nm6Lzthe9JyRzyfOJOggS7ujF6CAxQLIPD4ZG-kxNTuyHUNXpp4Vi3b0aGojQn_lFS3ozW_gt9gqdEeNKjdkilLTbsBVRmcYez1Om4itNKb4EpGedic0Xg/s1600-h/x+mas+party+Riley+245.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5301673702869165058" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiR_V_DTS4BLod-LPCb6DTv2Nm6Lzthe9JyRzyfOJOggS7ujF6CAxQLIPD4ZG-kxNTuyHUNXpp4Vi3b0aGojQn_lFS3ozW_gt9gqdEeNKjdkilLTbsBVRmcYez1Om4itNKb4EpGedic0Xg/s320/x+mas+party+Riley+245.jpg" border="0" /></a><strong> We had a blast this weekend in Atlanta at the Heart for Africa event!! Saturday morning Riley had a lot of preperations getting ready. First it was off to make-up, then off to get her hair done, and then glitter! Wow, did they use some glitter, it was head to toe. And of course, Ella was tagging right along, I had to fix her hair the same as the girls, they even put make-up on her and of course she got sprayed head to toe with glitter also.<br /><br />Somewhere in the middle of the afternoon about 15 minutes before they performed something over took my body and I turned into the psycho crazy cheer mom. Right before your squad performs they allow the parents to come down onto the floor and sit right in front of where the girls perform. Well, I was determined to get front row dead center (and I did!). So it got a little crazy, I could feel myself getting a little 'nutty', but I REALLY wanted to get a good seat. I was pushing Drew in the stroller and was prepared to use it if needed!<br /><br />Once I got seated (front row dead center) I could see Riley peeking through behind the stage. Then I really lost it, I just started crying like crazy. I had all of these emotions going on, first off I was really nervous for them because they have practiced for months and many hours for the next 2 minutes. And secondly I couldn't believe she was this old and she looked so grown up and I just couldn't take it. Jeremy didn't sit by me (for obvious reasons) but I saw him look over at me like 'oh crap now she is crying'. I didn't want Riley to see me so I put the poster I was given in front of my face it said 'Work It'! ha ha!<br /><br />Then the girls came out and did amazing! It was the best I had ever seen them do. There were probably over 30 parents and family that came. We were all in orange and black and screaming and yelling. Some parents had cow bells and air horns. It was awesome!! I could barely talk I screamed so loud. They ended up winning the Spirit Award beating out over 30 squads. In their division they placed 11th, some were really bummed about it (the other squads had a lot of tumbling). But they did amazing and the best that they could and were were thrilled. Riley was lovin life, she was so happy and was ready to do it again! The spirit award is the best! Thats what cheerleading is all about, spirit!</div></div>Jeremy and Raelenna Fergusonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08960998552234280733noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1596604910858886060.post-63117816380493570202009-02-01T17:52:00.004-06:002009-02-01T18:04:38.743-06:00More Cheer Pics...<div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUdcCBTsLbSC4CR2_6faKYR5ZxraZFFGVu0Dy5fSyKpf-sWvmBRZ6ZcTyQNminXydLfFn7Rk3lBnq5YokVGUWeciTtkmOt24G9F7ZUEqWucVQ1iKftmynewy3mWaeF6-71nfv1A3LQ8JA/s1600-h/x+mas+party+Riley+227.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5297983967597887746" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUdcCBTsLbSC4CR2_6faKYR5ZxraZFFGVu0Dy5fSyKpf-sWvmBRZ6ZcTyQNminXydLfFn7Rk3lBnq5YokVGUWeciTtkmOt24G9F7ZUEqWucVQ1iKftmynewy3mWaeF6-71nfv1A3LQ8JA/s320/x+mas+party+Riley+227.jpg" border="0" /></a> The whole family came!<br /><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8pgKXSCU1GOr4lSNyeU3cnhnwCEon6v2qp_fpLlPbUhdmUt5lZ21_naMOdCcfVPJe9RDBUlP2A4gzm291tQ5LjPCAYuVP1M5lJ3Xea_7nZ2Kl2yn1eqBYiTIujG19Xvb2t_IH0MBwWF4/s1600-h/x+mas+party+Riley+232.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5297982644204944050" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8pgKXSCU1GOr4lSNyeU3cnhnwCEon6v2qp_fpLlPbUhdmUt5lZ21_naMOdCcfVPJe9RDBUlP2A4gzm291tQ5LjPCAYuVP1M5lJ3Xea_7nZ2Kl2yn1eqBYiTIujG19Xvb2t_IH0MBwWF4/s320/x+mas+party+Riley+232.jpg" border="0" /></a> Grandpa got everybody souveniers. The Florida couple were so distraught that their family pet had disappeared that they had it cloned! Seriously?? First off cloning is WRONG!! God made me and only me, he made me unique and special and he only made one!! Secondly, this couple spent $155,000 on cloning their yellow lab! $155,000!!!<br />Children in third world countries are starving!! Right now they are straving and dying! 30,000 children will die TODAY from starvation. And this couple blew $155,000 on a freakin' dog!!! How? Why? What are they thinking?? People in the United States are losing their job everyday, struggling to keep their homes and feed their families!! $155,000!!!!<br />I try not to be judgemental (many times it's very hard) but this story really hit me hard and I'm having a very difficult time swallowing it! Maybe this couple gives to third world charities or maybe they help out people in their neighborhood who have lost their job!<br />I don't even know how to end this entry, I am still so mad and sad and baffled............Jeremy and Raelenna Fergusonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08960998552234280733noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1596604910858886060.post-19334424400140111342009-01-28T17:18:00.004-06:002009-01-29T12:39:14.510-06:00My Wonderful Brother!! We've always said Ella has a direct connection with God. Sometimes more than we can even imagine. She will say some of the most amazing things, most of the time Jeremy and I are left speechless. Ella has big role in this world, we don't know what it is or what it will be or where she will end up, but we know God has big plans for this little girl!</strong></div><div><strong>I just want to share a couple of stories with you. </strong></div><ul><li><em><strong>Jeremy and Kenny were talking one night about clothes, I wanted to buy Jeremy an argyle sweater and he was saying he would never wear it. If you know Jeremy his favorite wardrobe is a grey or black t-shirt and jeans. Well Kenny said "I saw Eric Becking wearing an argyle sweater at church, and dude if he wheres one you know its cool!" We didn't even realize Ella was listening and she piped in and said "God sees whats in your heart". Well enough said, what do say to that? Even though I wish Jeremy was a little more diverse in his wardrobe choices, it doesn't matter! God does not care what we wear!</strong></em></li><li><em><strong>When she was about 2 years old she would ride her tricycle around the living room saying "I'm going to make disciples" .</strong></em></li><li><em><strong>Last week Ella, Drew, Seth and I were driving in the van and I could hear Ella mumbling in the backseat. I asked her what she was saying. She said "God is talking to me" I asked her what he was saying she said "He talks to me all time and tells me he loves me."</strong></em></li><li><em><strong>Just this week Jeremy was taking her to school and she wanted Jeremy to play her favorite song. We didn't really know she had a favorite song. She wanted him to play Amazing Grace. Jeremy talked to her about what the song meant and she said "She knows, she sings it to God because she loves him and she will always forgive him". Ella tends to say things backward, but she was meaning she knows he will always forigve her.</strong></em></li></ul><p><strong>These are just a few short stories, I could go on and on. I always tell Jeremy that I know God is talking to us through Ella. She defintely gives us challenging thoughts and makes us wonder how does a 4 year old get it and we don't!<br /></strong></p></div></div>Jeremy and Raelenna Fergusonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08960998552234280733noreply@blogger.com2
